Long Overdue

Well, all I can say is two is crazier than one. I have completely sweet girls, but they can be some work:) I wanted to post some cute pictures of them one of the Fridays that Clayton was home with them. Lauren is smiling now and it makes everything oh so much more fun. She is 4 months old and HUGE (14 pounds now, Kaylee was 18 pounds at a year)! Kaylee is quite the talker, we are potty training (not so much my favorite activity, she peed in a chair the other day), and consequences/discipline are finally starting to make sense to her! Oh, I am also adding a picture of Lauren sucking her thumb and sleeping. She is a multi-tasker!

And as a side note, I am finishing up my school year. Yahoo for 2 1/2 weeks left! And, I found out that I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Haven't felt good for about a month and half, but thought it was just due to having two kids and job. Guess not. Essentially, it means that my thyroid is not working well and it is really big and acting crazy. I have to get my blood checked in a month and I'll see about more treatment then. I also had cysts on my thyroid, which concerned me, but the ENT said that they were most likely not cancer or anything scary like that and we will keep an eye on them. To add to it all, I got a cold this last week and my voice is gone. So, overall, I hope I feel better soon.

Makes me glad that I have such cute, loving little girls!

Happy Easter

An Easter post would not be complete without a happy chocolate-y smile as well as a crying 'why-can't-I-eat-all-the-candy' scream. happy easter!

It's time

Well, it is time for another post. I am bad about taking pictures and keep thinking, once I take pictures, I will post something else. Well, that may never happen, so I will give a little update. Lauren is getting huge! I wouldn't say that I look at her and say she is a fat baby, but she was in the 75th percentile for height and weight at her 2 week appointment. Kaylee was probably at the 10th percentile. So, Lauren is long and tough. Besides the last 2 nights, she has been a great sleeper and usually goes about 6-7 hours. I feel like praying and singing when I wake up that she is sleeping that well. However, she has a very stuffy nose these past two days and that has put a temporary hold (that is what I hope) to that. Lauren is such a sweet, docile personality and so fun to have with us.

We are dreaming of warmer times when we can go on walks. I say that as I look outside and see snow. I'm dreaming of spring time. Hope everyone is doing well!

She came!

Well, it finally happened. Lauren Jane Fulton was born on January 12th at 3:09 am (this laboring through the night seems to be a pattern for my children). She weighed 8 lbs. and was 20.5 inches long. I started feeling good contractions at 10:30, they were 5 minutes apart from the beginning, made it to the hospital a little before 12 and had her by 3. Instead of 2 1/2 hours of pushing last time, I pushed through 6 contractions. Overall, this was a MUCH faster and easier labor. I was very happy with how everything went.

She is a cutie and we are thrilled to have her as part of our family! She has a TON of hair and it is fun to play and style it! It already starts to curl, so I am sure she will have the curls like Kaylee. We are doing well and enjoying ourselves as a family of four!

Update

Well, it has been a great Christmas. It was so fun to see Kaylee get so excited about her gifts. She has been playing with them all ever since. I just wanted you to know that video/pictures will be coming soon. And, hopefully, a cute little baby girl. When I went to the doctor a week ago, I was dilated to a 3 and 80% effaced. (that may be more information than you wanted to know, but oh well:). For Kaylee, when I hit that my water broke 3 days later. No baby yet, but now Clayton and I are getting anxious. We want this baby to come now. . .

Santa Claus

We went to a Christmas Party with Clayton's father's side of the family this weekend. Here are a few cute pictures to go along with the fun. The first few pictures are of Kaylee with Santa. She was very hesitant to even sit with the kids in front of Santa, which makes sense why she was even more scared to get close to him. Daddy went up to help her get her present, but she wouldn't sit on his lap or even get too close. She did however say "Thank you" and "Merry Christmas" with some prompting from Daddy. She has talked about Santa now for the past few days.

The other pictures are of all of us in front of the tree, Kaylee with her girl cousins and Grandma/Grandpa Fulton, and her watching the talent show (we thought she looked so grown up).

Last Christmas we were busily working away on the house, so it has been more fun to really enjoy the Christmas season this year. Such a wonderful time of year!!

There is a first time for everything

It is a week of firsts. Last night, I was finishing up dinner and Kaylee was playing/dancing right around me. She went to her room and it was seriously 5 minutes before I realized she was playing too quietly in her bedroom. I come in to find her with a purple crayon on the wall. Kaylee and the purple crayon. So, I hurriedly try to clean up her wall. Then, Clayton comes home and we realize that I missed the 2 other walls and 3 other door frames that she got with the crayon on the way to her room. Oh, goodness, that girl must be feeling better (she had croup this week) to be so troublesome.

Secondly, we got Christmas lights put up on our house. The real kind that you climb up on the roof to put up. Clayton and I realized that it is the first time we have ever done that on our own house(me, 27 and him, 29). I guess we are finally grown up.
